Overpriced pub food
9 months
We visited yesterday with your baby, after sticking us in a corner booth in an off-peak period. We waited 15 minutes until we had to inform the hostess that she hadn't told the waiter he had our table. The drinks were overpriced considering the proximity to the brewery and the selection of wines was poor and overpriced. The fish and chips was barely as good as pub food with a tiny portion of fries (the waiter's description - not mine). The salads were grocery quality frisee sloped with non-descript dressing. My wife's beef was dry and heavily salted. Our waiter discouraged us from ordering 2 of the items on the desert menu, so we tried the cherry tart. Big mistake, apparently they use premade pastries and slop some cold straight-from-the-bucket cherries and top it off with some orange and lemon rinds. Everything was overpriced poorer than pub quality food, save your money and head next door to the Mill St Brewery, where they at least know how to do pub properly.
