Terrible Client Service

about 1 month
Very disappointed with this store. I went in on Wednesday, December 3, pm, to look at a specific high chair and hopefully buy it, but they didn't have the wood finish that I wanted on display, just in boxes in their storeroom. So I asked if I could at least see inside one of the boxes so I could make sure that I liked the colour of the finish, and they wouldn't allow it!! Excuse me?? They said they couldn't open a box because then they wouldn't be able to sell it if it was opened. So, in other words, I would have to buy it, open the box myself and if I didn't like it I would return it? "Yes", they said (!!). Wha? That does not make any sense!!! If I'm going to shell out a wad of cash on a piece of furniture shouldn't I be able to see it first??? Obviously they have no idea what client service is in that store, and consequently they've lost a sale...

If it wasn't local I would never visit

This is the closest baby store to our house and if it wasn't for that I would never return. Not only is it overpriced, I have consistently(8+ times)had terrible service at the store. There are many staff members milling about and you have to drag them to get their attention. Last time I was in, the service person was refusing to sell me a car seat that was compatible with my stroller and I had to insist in order to get it. If you don't walk in with your Bugaboo or Phil and Ted's stroller, don't expect to get decent treatment. The clothing is over-priced and the upper level has extremely high end bedroom sets. After repeated dealings with MTBaM I know think it is worth the 35 min drive to head up to Dear-Born Baby - more selection with 1/10 the attitude.

Baby's needs

Literally everything you need to prepare for a baby. I've done the majority of my shopping here, from stroller to sleepers to soothers. It always seems like the ration of staff to customer is about 3 to 1 so you'll get the help you need every time. Aside from the abundance of choices of baby gear, this store has frequent corses from breastfeeding 101 to stroller demos (you can check their great web site to see if any up comming courses suit your needs) Yesterday they had Santa visit the store and for $10 bucks you could have your little one's first Christmas photo..adorable... this is the best baby store in Toronto. The prices will be slightly higher than other baby stores, but well worth it.
