My friend and I each booked a 4 hour package that included a 1 hour massage, facial , manicure and pedicure. We walked into the spa and found it to be very small and univiting. The receptionist didn't offer us a drink or anything. We were not offered a robe or slippers. The ladies who were taking care of us barely spoke English and had zero personality. We were taken to a back room and asked to change and then they'd come back and start our massage. They came back after 15 minutes and then proceeded with the massage which lasted only 45 minutes (because of course they wasted 15 minutes of the hour by letting us change). Which took us 10 seconds. The massage was alright. The pressure was good but the hands of the lady massing me were not soft and felt more like sand paper. They did not elevate the legs so my ankles were quite sore afterwards. Then they flipped us over for a facial. Well, I could have washed my own face for free. They wash your face and then look at your face in a mirror with bright light and tel lyou that you hav eoily skin and that the mask in the package is not good for your skin. Therefore you need another mask, which is a $20 upgrade. My friend got the same speech from her lady and we have different skin form one another. So it's quite odd. We of course did not take the upgrade b/c we're already payign a lot for this. So they gave us each a hydrating mask and then elft us for 15 minutes. The mask was more like a cream and when the ladies came back to wash it off, they then put on a moisturizer which made my friend break out. That was the facial. No extractions or scrubs or anything. Then we are left to change and come out to have a pedicure. The seats were uncomfortable and the water was lukewarm. The pedicure was rushed and there was a 20 second foot massage. Then we're taken to the manicure station. The ladies still ahve yet to talk to us and make our experience fun and enjoyable. Instead I felt like I was bothering them by making them have to work. The manicure was brief like th eother services and our nails were not filed evenly. I had to refile my nails when I got home. The polish didn't get put on the entire nail they missed the end of the sides of each nail. Very rush job. Not relaxing at all and certainly not worth it. It also ended up only being 3 hours. It was supposed to be 4 hours. It appeared to us that after we rejected the upgrade to the facial mask, that the ladies could have cared less about the rest of the services. Needless to say, we did not tip and were very disapointed. I've been to several spas locally in Ottawa, and in Toronto and have never had such a horrible experience. I would not go back and I do not recommend this place. If you go to other websites, such as WaySpa.com, you'll read very simliar reviews for this spa.
